Should you change a winning route? As it happens, no. Last year, the "Doyenne" of the classics set things right by finally opening up to women riders, 125 years after it was created.

Women's cycling took advantage to demonstrate its rise in importance as well as its freshness thanks to the ceaseless attacks made on the three climbs on the way into the finish, similar to the one ridden by the men: La Redoute, La Roche-aux-Faucons then Côte de Saint-Nicolas slopes.
